Abraham Wetherby was born June 5, 1752 at Lunenburg, Massachusetts. He served in the Revolutionary War as a private in Captain Nathan Hale's company. He enlisted at Ringe, New Hampshire as one of the "minute men" and served honorably for 17 days. Was discharged May 9, 1775 . He married Joanna Sawtelle, lived on a farm at Ringe, New Hampshire, and had 12 children. In 1804 the family emigrated to Pennsylvania and later purchased 175 acres of farming land in Scott Township. Died January 22, 1828. ...
